It is with deep sorrow that I share the passing of my beloved mother, Pat Helkey-Burns, who left us on Wednesday, August 28th, surrounded by her children—Kathryn Beery, Dave Helkey, and myself.
Her departure has left a profound void in our lives, but we find solace in knowing that she was surrounded by her loved ones in her final moments, a testament to the strength and bond of our family.
Pat was a remarkable woman whose life was filled with love, kindness, and unwavering support for those she held dear.
She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, always putting us first and ensuring that we were cared for and loved.
Her nurturing spirit and generous heart were a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her.
She was a beacon of light in our lives, guiding us through both joyful and challenging times with grace and wisdom.
One of Pat's final wishes was to forgo a traditional funeral. In her selfless nature, she preferred a celebration of life, reflecting her vibrant spirit and love for bringing people together.
We will honor her wish with a gathering on September 14th from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at the Tiffin Ohio Amvets Post 48, located at 1909 S. State Route 100, Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
This celebration will be a time to remember the beautiful moments we shared with her, to celebrate her life, and to find comfort in each other's presence.
Pat will be deeply missed by many. She touched countless lives with her kindness, leaving a legacy of love and compassion that will live on in our hearts.
Her smile, laughter, and the warmth she brought into every room will never be forgotten.
For me, she was more than just a mother; she was a confidant, a friend, and a constant source of inspiration.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have called her my mother and to have been blessed with her love and guidance.
