Engineer Jimmy Small Death: Engineer Jimmy Small Obituary: Engineer Jimmy Small from the Dallas black firefighter Association passed away yesterday.

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the untimely passing of Driver Engineer Jimmy Small, a valued member of the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department and the Dallas Black Firefighters Association. 


Jimmy passed away yesterday while off duty, and his sudden departure has left a significant void in the hearts of his family, colleagues, and the entire Dallas community. 

The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation, and we are all left grappling with the shock and grief of this tragic event.

Jimmy Small joined Dallas Fire-Rescue on April 19, 2017, bringing with him a dedication and commitment to service that quickly became evident to all who had the privilege of working with him. 

Over the years, he served in various capacities and at multiple stations, showcasing his adaptability, skill, and unwavering dedication to protecting and serving the people of Dallas. 

His most recent role was as a Rescue Driver at Station 52, where he was known for his professionalism, quick thinking, and calm demeanor in the face of emergencies. 

Prior to his tenure at Station 52, Jimmy was assigned to shifts at 11, Engine 46 B Shift, 54 A Shift, Engine 36 A, and 6 A, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow firefighters across the department.

Jimmy's passing is not just a loss to his family but also to the entire Dallas Fire-Rescue community and the broader Dallas community. 

He was more than just a colleague; he was a brother, a friend, and a mentor to many. 

His dedication to his work, his compassion for those in need, and his infectious spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
