Fifteen-year-old Alexcia Lynch of Syracuse had dreams of pursuing a career in nursing, but her life was tragically cut short when she was killed by another 15-year-old boy.

Fifteen-year-old Alexcia Lynch, a bright and promising young student from Syracuse, had dreams of pursuing a career in nursing. Known for her compassion and dedication, Alexcia often spoke of her desire to help others and make a difference in her community. 


Tragically, her life was cut short when she was fatally shot by another 15-year-old boy, shattering the dreams she held so dearly.

Alexcia was a sophomore at a local high school where she excelled academically and was actively involved in extracurricular activities. 

Her teachers and peers remember her as a kind-hearted and driven individual who always wore a smile and had a positive attitude, even in the face of challenges. 

She had a natural ability to connect with others, offering a listening ear and words of encouragement to those who needed it most. 

Her passion for nursing stemmed from her innate desire to care for others, and she was already taking steps to prepare for her future career by volunteering at local hospitals and community centers.

On the evening of August 30, Alexcia was in the 900 block of Madison Street in Syracuse when her life was abruptly taken from her. 

The sound of gunfire rang out around 8:15 p.m., leaving the community in shock and disbelief. 

Alexcia was pronounced dead shortly after, leaving her family and friends to grapple with the profound loss of a young life filled with promise.

The news of Alexcia’s death sent ripples of grief throughout the community. Vigils were held in her honor, and countless messages of condolence and support poured in from those who knew her and even those who didn’t. 

Her family, devastated by the loss, remembered Alexcia as a loving daughter, sister, and friend who always put others before herself.
