The Castlepollard Hurling & Camogie Club deeply mourns the loss of Dermot McLoughlin from Glenview. Dermot, a valued member of our community and a steadfast supporter of Castlepollard GAA, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, passion, and community spirit that will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Dermot McLoughlin was born on June 15, 1965, in the heart of Glenview, a place he always called home. From a young age, Dermot was immersed in the rich traditions of Gaelic games. 

His love for hurling and camogie was evident as he grew up playing for local teams, demonstrating exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and a deep understanding of the game. 

His commitment to Castlepollard GAA was unwavering, and he quickly became a central figure within the club.

Throughout his life, Dermot was known for his dedication to promoting and supporting hurling and camogie within the community. 

He was a tireless advocate for the development of young players, always willing to lend his time and expertise to coaching and mentoring. 

His passion for the sport and his genuine care for the players made him a beloved mentor and friend to many aspiring athletes.

Dermot's contributions to Castlepollard GAA extended far beyond the playing field. He was actively involved in various club activities, from organizing events and fundraisers to ensuring the smooth operation of matches and training sessions.
