It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our dear mother, Edith Anderson, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, at the age of 93 after a long and courageous battle with illness. Edith's passing marks the end of a remarkable life filled with love, resilience, and dedication to her family and friends. 


While we are deeply saddened by her loss, we are comforted by the many wonderful memories and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.

Edith was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was cherished by all who knew her. 

Born and raised in Hull, Edith dedicated her life to her family and community, always putting others before herself. 

Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love were the cornerstones of her life, and she touched the lives of everyone she met with her gentle spirit and warm heart. 

Throughout her long life, Edith demonstrated a remarkable ability to find joy in even the smallest moments, and her positive outlook on life was truly inspiring.

We would like to announce that Edith's funeral will be held on Monday, September 9, at 11:00 AM in the small chapel on Chanterlands Avenue. 

For those who wish to attend, the funeral procession will depart from Brown's Funeral Home on Beverley Road at 10:45 AM. 

This will be a time for family and friends to come together to pay their respects and honor the memory of a wonderful woman who brought so much joy to those around her.

Following the funeral service, we invite everyone to join us for a celebration of Edith's life at the Hull and East Yorkshire Centre for the Deaf, located at 63 Spring Bank, Hull. 

This gathering will provide an opportunity for us to share stories, memories, and reflections on Edith's remarkable life. 

Edith's spirit of love and kindness will be celebrated, and we hope that all who knew her will join us in remembering the special moments we shared with her.

Edith Anderson was a beacon of light in the lives of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
